Parenting humor.  Parenting tip on how to keep your sense of humor is a proven method of protecting your sanity. This is a story of a father who talks to his six-year-old boy about marriage.

A six-year-old boy told his father he wanted to marry the little girl across the street.  
The father, being modern and well-schooled in handling children, hid his smile behind his hand.  
"That's a serious step," he said.
"Have you thought it out completely?"  

"Yes," his young son answered. "We can spend one week in my room and the next in hers. It's right across the street, so I can run home if I get scared of the dark."

"How about transportation?" the father asked.

"I have my wagon, and we both have our tricycles,"
the little boy answered.
The boy had an answer to every question the father raised.

Finally, in exasperation, his dad asked,
"What about babies? When you're married,
you're liable to have babies, you know."

"We've thought about that, too," the little boy replied.
"We're not going to have babies.
Every time she lays an egg,
I'm going to step on it!"

Time for some baseball humor from the ruler of humor -   the Blog King.  Baseball players - of all ages - provide regular opportunities for us to chuckle and chortle. One of my personal sources for baseball related humor has been Yogi Berra. Yogi is credited with creating the saying, "It ain't over till it's over." Yogi is also known for his verbal misses. One of my personal quote favorites is ..."This is like déjà vu all over again.  And that's the perfect "warm up" for the somewhat true tale of the greatest baseball plalyer of all time.

Are you feeling like laughing?  Sometimes we just need a good laugh.  Well, jokes can certainly make us laugh.  But how about just listening to someone else laugh?  Believe it or not just listening to another person laugh can actually make you start laughing.

There is a YouTube video of a guy who is a volunteer on some comedy show.  The guy gets up there and starts laughing and just can't stop.  Before you know it, everyone is laughing and even the comedian can't stop.

I've heard the saying that laughing is contegeous and this video proves it.  Go see if you can watch it without laughing:

Buff body builders at my local gym, tend to wear muscle shirts decorated with inspirational sayings like this - No Pain. No Gain.  (Yeah, right.) I have a t-shirt that proudly declares on the front "No Pain.  The back includes the rest of the personal exercise philosophy of the Blog King.  The back of my t-shirt proudly declares -- ...No pain!  As part of my New Year's resolution, I signed up and prepaid for 6 weeks exercise program with a personal trainer.  I should have asked for my money back when I learned he'd been an Olympic finalist.
